What MyLocalHands does

MyLocalHands introduces homeowners to local tradespeople. We are not a party to any contract for work between a homeowner and a tradesperson, and we don't carry out, supervise or guarantee any work.

For homeowners

Posting a job is free. Your contact details are shared with up to three tradespeople who choose to respond to your job (fewer if you ask). Please give accurate details and only post genuine jobs.

For tradespeople

Joining is free. You buy leads with credits (1 credit = £1 plus VAT). Each lead's price is shown before you buy it, and no more than three tradespeople can buy the same job. Credits don't expire and can't be exchanged for cash. You can ask for a refund of a lead's credits within 14 days if the contact details are wrong, the homeowner doesn't reply within 72 hours, or the job was posted twice; other cases are reviewed by us. You must hold any registration the law requires for the work you do (for example Gas Safe for gas work) and keep your profile accurate.

Reviews and content

Reviews must be honest and about a real job arranged through MyLocalHands. We may remove content that breaks these terms and suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse or fake reviews.
